Eric Chun became a personal injury attorney because he believes in fairness, justice and doing the right thing. He views plaintiffs' lawyers as the common man's last line of defense, standing up to insurance companies that have nearly limitless resources. He routinely sees these corporations trying to maximize profit by dodging accountability and paying as little as possible to insured people who have suffered devastating, often life-changing injuries.
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - ncarol.com -- Insurance companies are not fair," Chun said. "People need fighters to help them have a voice and a chance at a fair outcome. I was taught early on in life that if you can, you should help those in need. That's simply the right thing to do."
Early Life and Education
Chun moved to the United States from South Korea when he was 10. After getting his bachelor's degree from UCLA, he secured his law degree from Whittier Law School in Orange County before passing the California Bar. Chun said his own life experience as an immigrant and as a child of immigrants developed in him the empathy to understand others' suffering and fight hard to make things right.
Chun comes to Bisnar Chase with more than 12 years of practicing law across California. He has an extraordinary track record of achieving top results for his clients. Over the last decade, he has worked for prominent law firms in Southern California, honing his skills as a trial attorney. True to his diligent approach, he believes that there are no shortcuts to success.

Millions in Verdicts and Settlements
His vast experience as a personal injury lawyer spans several practice areas, from auto accident and premises liability cases to pedestrian accidents and dog bites. He has represented clients who have suffered severe and catastrophic injuries as well as families that have lost loved ones due to someone else's negligence or wrongdoing.
What motivates Chun as a personal injury lawyer is the fact that what he does can help make a positive change he can bring about through his work.
"I love seeing the difference I can make in a person's life, even if it's a small difference," he says. "Personally, I believe that a person's character is largely built and shaped by their actions and their influence on other people's lives. So, by helping others, I feel like I gain personal growth as well."
His results tell the story of his capability as a skilled negotiator and trial attorney who is hard-working and tenacious. They are also examples of how he has helped make a crucial difference in people's lives, playing his part to put them on a better trajectory.
He has obtained millions in verdicts and settlements for injured victims and their families. In one case, he notably secured a seven-figure settlement for a man who was injured in an auto accident, which allowed him to pursue his higher education and start a new career. In another case, he helped an elderly woman settle a premises liability case, which allowed her to buy a home in Florida to enjoy her retirement.

Learning from Tough Cases
Chun relishes handling tough cases because he values challenges and overcoming obstacles. He says they teach him important lessons for work and life.
"Undoubtedly, you gain knowledge and skill working on tough cases. But more importantly, you learn not to give up on people because things are tough. When working on tough cases, you must work closely with your client and your time. Teamwork will lead you to success."
He counts his desire to learn and grow as one of his biggest strengths.
"Facing and overcoming challenges, in and out of work, allows me to grow as a person and be more experienced," he says. "You can always learn something new from a positive or negative experience. Sometimes, learning what not to do is just as valuable as learning what to do."
He compares his approach to cases to fixing cars.
"For several years, I worked at my dad's auto repair shop as a mechanic and manager," he said. "At times, I approach law the way I used to approach fixing cars. You have to know and understand the problem to devise a plan to fix the problem. You also need experience and training to fix the problem. If you are dedicated to your craft and take the hands-on approach, you can one day master your craft."
A Law Firm That Genuinely Cares About Clients
Chun said he feels like he is among the like-minded people at Bisnar Chase.
"I believe that everyone here truly cares about clients and takes pride in the work they do," he said. "Since everyone here loves their job, the atmosphere is great and supportive. I look forward to coming to work and collaborating with the team at Bisnar Chase."
About Bisnar Chase: The California personal injury law firm has recovered over $900M representing injured plaintiffs. They offer a free consultation and have a 99% success rate.
