Announcing First U.S. Team of Autistic Children to the "Genius Cup" in Hiroshima, Japan

MIAMI - ncarol.com -- With a 14-year career in social innovation, Oscar Amuz—Founder and CEO of Autism Soccer—announces a groundbreaking initiative: the creation of the first U.S. national soccer team for autistic children, set to represent the United States at the 7th Genius Cup in Hiroshima, Japan, in March 2027.

The project will take a delegation of 14 autistic players and specialized professionals to compete internationally and serve as ambassadors for neurodiversity. Through sport, the team will demonstrate that with the right methodology, barriers—geographical, social, or diagnostic—can be overcome.

"Taking these children to Hiroshima is not just about competition; it's a statement that talent thrives when proper support exists," said Amuz.

Founded in 2013 through the Hope for Autism United for Soccer Foundation Inc., Autism Soccer has grown into an internationally recognized educational and business ecosystem. At its core is the Rivera Methodology©️ (RIVER)—a specialized training system built on tactical, visual, and auditory development—designed to prepare athletes physically, sensorially, and socially.

The methodology will guide the preparation of the 14 selected players traveling to Japan. To expand its global impact, Autism Soccer operates through a franchise model focused on social return, with recent growth including new locations and consolidation in North Miami.

Miami-Dade County currently serves as the program's epicenter, with over 100 active participants. From this talent pool, the players representing the U.S. in Hiroshima will be selected.

As the creator and owner of the Rivera Methodology©️, Oscar Amuz continues to share his model through books, lectures, and enterprise—championing the belief that social impact and sustainability go hand in hand.
