CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 22, 2025 ~ Amwins, a leading global distributor of specialty insurance products and services, has announced a planned change in leadership within its legal team. Effective January 1, 2026, Deputy General Counsel Molly Shah will take on the role of General Counsel while current General Counsel Donna Hargrove will transition to a new position as Senior Advisor.

Shah joined Amwins in 2019 and has since served as Deputy General Counsel, specializing in labor and employment matters. Over the years, her role has expanded to encompass various aspects of the company's operations. She is also an active member of Amwins' Diversity & Inclusion Council and serves on the steering committee for the Women's Leadership program.

According to Scott Purviance, CEO of Amwins, this leadership transition has been in the works for some time and Shah is well-suited for her new role. "Molly is an exceptional leader who embodies our values and brings a wealth of legal knowledge, thoughtful leadership style, and clear sense of purpose to our legal team," he said. "We have full confidence in her ability to lead us into the future."

Hargrove joined Amwins in 2008 as the company's general counsel and has played a crucial role in supporting its growth through various transactions while maintaining strong legal governance. In addition to her work at Amwins, she also serves on the Board of Directors for the Isabella Santos Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing treatment for rare pediatric cancers.

Purviance expressed his gratitude for Hargrove's contributions to Amwins over the years. "Donna has been an integral part of our journey and her impact on our company is immeasurable," he said.
