National Safe Boating Week takes place May 16–22, 2026, kicking off with Wear Your Life Jacket at Work Day on May 15
RALEIGH, N.C. - ncarol.com -- As boaters head into Memorial Day weekend and the official start of boating season, America's Boating Club | United States Power Squadrons and our clubs around the country will celebrate National Safe Boating Week from May 16–22, 2026. This awareness effort, spearheaded by the Safe Boating Campaign, promotes safe and responsible boating around the world.
America's Boating Club promotes recreational boating skills and safety through education, hands-on training, and civic service. Every year, our clubs host and participate in safe boating events for National Safe Boating Week, from vessel safety checks and life jacket demonstrations to proclamation signings with their community leaders.
Our clubs work tirelessly to educate the recreational boating public and encourage safe boating behaviors. Our dedicated instructors are highly trained and help teach fellow boaters the skills they need to feel more confident on the water. Students can take a course with America's Boating Club online or in-person with knowledgeable, experienced teachers.
