The Independent Security Advisors Course Supports Security Needs During The Republican National Convention

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - ncarol.com -- Derecho Investigations owner, Ron Mann, announced that the Republican National Committee (RNC) estimates include private security needs of up to 500 security and executive protection (EP) personnel for the RNC 2020 convention. Prerequisites for executive protection agents will be graduation from an accredited professional EP training course, proper license from the State of North Carolina Private Protective Security Board or the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice PPS credential under the reciprocity agreement.

Derecho Investigation's security team, Dignitary Protection & Security Group, has selected the Independent Security Advisors' North Carolina Private Protective Services Board approved 7-Day EP training program PPSB-19-003 and will host a course in Charlotte, NC on March 23rd-29th, 2019. Approved by Virginia DCJS for the 32E PPS credential training requirements, this course also earns 12 CEUs for a NC PPSB license.

Conducted in the shadow of the Spectrum Center on the ground where the RNC 2020 convention will be held in August of 2020, this course will focus on the threat assessment process; advance procedures including site surveys and walkthrough's of the convention center, Panther stadium, a private air terminal and multiple other locations in Charlotte; EP mission operational planning with a special focus on working with law enforcement; and within a designated security event - arrival, departure and movement procedures. The course also includes first aid, CPR, AED and Stop Bleed certifications.

According to Ron Mann, "Graduates of this course will be considered for work during the RNC 2020 event and other events in the Charlotte metro region. This will be a superior training and networking opportunity for private protective security personnel."
